This Phulkari Kota Silk Saree embroidery is peculiar to Punjab. Phulkari literally means flower craft .The main characteristics of Phulkari embroidery are the use of darn stitch on the wrong side of cloth with colored silken thread.
FABRIC: Kota is a distinctive woven fabric with a unique square-checked pattern crafted on fine silk, cotton or a blend of these two fabric. The cotton provides strength to the fabric, while silk makes it more lustrous and lends it a softer touch.
