Chanderi sarees take its name from the place of Chanderi in Madhya Pradesh where it is produced. Amongst the best-known handloom clusters, it occupies a special place because of century’s old weaving speciality.The most unique feature of this texture is its transparency which imparts an unmatched sophistication and confront to it. FABRIC: Tissue Silk is an Organza type of fabric. It has an open weave with coloured silk woven in one direction and metallic thread in the other. This gives a shot effect when used flat. Silk Tissue can be totally transformed by scrunching a piece in water. The renowned zari brocade weavers of Benaras are known for weaving the tissue saree, which resembles golden cloth. Tissue as a material is light and easy to carry.
