"When you think of occasion wear, festive wear, special dressing, you think of dressing, you think of banarasi; such is the flavour and flamboyance of these sarees. Known for their gold and silver zari, fine silk and opulent embroidery, they are heavy sarees with inspired designs. Made in Varanasi, they are characteristsed by intricate intertwining floral and foliate motifs, kalga and bel and a string of upright leaves at the outer edge of border. These sarees in addition to its beauty manages to evoke a feeling of nostalgia for every woman. It reminds one of their mothers, aunt and grandmothers donned in banarasis on very special occasions. Managing to garner appreciation since so many generations and being favourite till today is an exceptional feat by the artisans and Banarsai saree. Come; let us renew our special bond with these sarees only from the treasure trove of Banarasi saree at Luxurion World.

FABRIC: Muga Silk is made from the semi-cultivated silkworm. It is organic and natural and has the strongest natural fibre. Muga silk (Muga Paat) or the golden silk is not only a nature's gift to Assam, but also a symbol of rich Assamese culture. It represents the brilliance of traditional attire of the region. The most significant characteristic of 'Muga silk' is its golden bright hue. Its name is derived from Assamese word 'Muga', which means yellow. The fabric is superior in every respect in comparison to the normal white silk that is available all over the world. It is also much more durable. With time it only becomes more beautiful. Muga silk's brightness improves with every wash. It's no wonder that Muga silk is one of the costliest silks available in the world. Today, the cost of Muga silk is so high that for a middle-class woman in Assam it has become a prized possession, just as her gold ornaments.

CARE: Hand wash, Usage of a very light detergent, Air drying is apt as over-exposure to sunlight often causes the fabric to lose its color.

NOTE: There may be a slight colour variation in the image from original product due to various reasons like configuration of computer monitor, colour scheme of computer, lighting of the photograph etc."
