FABRIC: Georgette is a sheer fabric and is traditionally made from silk.This fabric looks thin and is lightweight in nature. It is strong and more durable. Since this fabric has draping property it is not easy to sew it. Using of needles on this fabric spoils the fabric material by leaving needles holes on the material. So avoid using pins on this fabric. Georgette fabric is mostly used in formal women wear to give a fabulous chic look. It is easy to maintain but hard to stitch and sew. Due to its thin texture, the fabric is also used as a layer in a larger garment without adding to the weight of the overall costume or giving out a bulky look.

FABRIC: Satin is a sleek and glossy fabric created with a particular type of textile weave, during the process woven material is run through hot cylinders. The weave method used to create Satin Silk is different from a basic fabric, the latter is woven by having the threads in each direction (the warp and the weft) going one over and one under. The satin weave is four over and one under, with less interlacings of the threads. That process gives fabric its characteristic glossy surface and a dull back. The fibers that are commonly woven to create satin are silk, cotton, wool and also synthetic materials like polyester or acetate that allow to have a less expensive fabric. Satin is used to realize a lot of products, in particular elegant dresses, bridal and wedding wear, lingerie and bedding.

CARE: Hand wash, Usage of a very light detergent, Air drying is apt as over-exposure to sunlight often causes the fabric to lose its color.
