Description
The Craft Story
Patan Patola is one of the rarest and most technically demanding handloom traditions in the world. Woven in Patan, Gujarat — the ancient capital of the Solanki dynasty — Patola silk has been coveted by royalty, merchants, and connoisseurs for over 900 years. Historically, Patola sarees were gifted by Indian royalty to Southeast Asian rulers as the highest mark of honour, and traded along the ancient spice routes as one of India’s most precious exports. This multicolor single ikat dupatta carries that extraordinary legacy — a piece of living history, woven thread by thread on a traditional pit loom in Patan.

Occasion & Styling
A magnificent dupatta for festive celebrations, ceremonial occasions, cultural events, and bridal trousseaus. The multicolor Patola dupatta is a versatile statement piece that pairs beautifully with a solid silk saree or lehenga in any of its dominant colours. Drape it over a plain Banarasi or Kanjeevaram saree to create a layered heritage look that celebrates India’s greatest textile traditions.
Artisan Impact
Your purchase directly supports the livelihood of Patan Patola weavers — one of the smallest and most endangered weaving communities in India, with fewer than a handful of families still practising this tradition. Luxurion World pays above-fair compensation to every artisan, ensuring this 900-year-old tradition survives for future generations.
