Ajrakh Sarees - Block Printed Legacy
Ajrakh sarees are block-printed masterpieces from the Kutch region of Gujarat and Sindh — where master craftsmen use hand-carved wooden blocks and natural dyes derived from indigo, madder, pomegranate, and turmeric to create the characteristic deep blue, red, and black geometric patterns that have made Ajrakh one of India's most globally celebrated textile traditions. The Ajrakh printing process involves up to 16 stages of dyeing and printing, with each layer adding depth and complexity to the final design. A GI-tagged heritage craft, Ajrakh is both ancient and utterly contemporary.
