This Phulkari Dupatta embroidery is peculiar to Punjab. Phulkari literally means flower craft. The main characteristics of Phulkari embroidery are the use of darn stitch on the wrong side of cloth with colored silken thread. Dupattas can be teamed with plain kurti-patiala or a cotton top worn over rugged denim for a contemporary look.
FABRIC: Cotton fabric is a natural fabric and is used to make light weight dupattas. This material is a favorite because it keeps the wearer cool and is easily washed. Cotton fabric is very popular in a tropical country like India, because of the soft twist imparted by the hand, maintains the hairiness of the yarn to an extent, which gives maximum comfort.
CARE: Dry Cleaning.
NOTE: There may be a slight colour variation in the image from original product due to various reasons like configuration of computer monitor, colour scheme of computer, lighting of the photograph etc.
