Ajrakh Dye Fabric
Ajrakh is a block printed textile that is resist-dyed using natural dyes. Its name is derived from ‘azzarak’, ‘blue’ in Arabic and Persian. Ajrakh dye fabric is distinguished by its colour – blue with red, though now many more colours have made way to the glory of this fabric. The complex geometric and floral pattern is a printing which takes fourteen to twenty one days to complete. A remarkable feature of ajrakh printing is that on a single fabric, using the same design, the whole process is repeated on both sides of it in perfect cohesion. This crowded mural of colours and motifs has a deep impression on the fashion fraternity in general. Ajrakh fabric can be used for making of dresses, kurtis, skirts and as cut sleeve jackets to be worn on kurtis. It’s a designer’s paradise to be associated with such a rich fabric and convert it into an attire of your choice. Scroll through and pick your choice.
