FABRIC: Tussar Silk , also often referred to as ‘Wild Silk, Tassar Silk, or Tusar Silk is an exquisite thread obtained from a wide winged moth that is yellowish-brown in colour. Tussar silk is a lot more textured than any other variety of Silk. The fabric is also cooler than the other varieties and is a lot more porous, therefore, breathable. Being cooler than the other varieties of Silk makes Tussar extremely wearable in warmer parts of the world. Tussar silk has shorter fibres, which makes it less durable. It has a dull gold sheen.
FABRIC: Raw Silk is the most natural form of delicate fibre of silk with no twist and is unprocessed form of silk that can be easily woven into different fabrics. Silk containing sericin is called raw silk. The gummy substance, affording protection during processing, is usually retained until the yarn or fabric stage and is removed by boiling the silk in soap and water, leaving it soft and lustrous, with weight reduced by as much as 30 percent. Muga raw silk retains its color for a lifetime. When it is spun, a golden based hue gets generated. Tropical Tussar raw silk is Copper in color. Mulberry raw silk is considered to be the softest and finest texture of all. Temperate Tassar raw silk also bears the similarities with Tropical Tassar silk.
CARE: it is always suggested to avoid the risk of sunlight hitting the fabric on a direct basis. In addition to that, one must always keep the garment stain free as that would completely tarnish the look of this fabric. Moreover, it is next to impossible to get rid of the stains without causing any damage.
